About the Role
The position of Legal Officer at Sonata Finance involves being an integral part of the Legal & Compliance team. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to manage legal and fraud-related matters across several states where the company operates. Key Responsibilities
* Handle legal matters related to company operations, including fraud-related issues, labour law compliance, and contractual matters.
* Coordinate with branch offices across multiple states for legal case updates and compliance checks.
* Draft, review, and vet legal documents, agreements, and notices to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Oversee and ensure timely resolution of litigation matters.
* Engage with regulatory bodies and legal authorities for case follow-ups and dispute resolution.
* Maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings and compliance activities.
Eligibility Criteria
* Education: LL.B. in Law (Mandatory), LL.M. in Law (Preferred)
* Experience: Not specifically mentioned, but practical legal knowledge and compliance expertise are essential.
* Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of litigation processes and applicable laws.
