 
        
        Technical Support & Commissioning - Broadcast Video & Audio
Evertz is a world leading company in the design of innovative and pioneering broadcast video & audio equipment.
We have a vacancy for a technical support and commissioning engineer to be based at our UK facility, in Winnersh Triangle, Wokingham, RG41 5TP. This is a customer focused role providing a wide range of technical support for our broadcast clients based in the UK and Europe.
Job Responsibilities
 * Provide first class technical onsite support and service to customers, accepting responsibility for resolving all issues in a timely and professional manner.
 * This will include:
 o Visits to customer's premises to commission equipment.
 o Providing operational & service training.
 o Assisting with customer acceptance testing.
 o Providing direct phone and email support for our customer base.
Basic Qualifications
 * Education in Electronics or Electronic Engineering is an advantage.
 * Qualified through industrial or professional experience, with broad digital video and audio experience, is an advantage.
 * Previous experience testing, servicing and/or commissioning video and audio systems is an advantage.
 * Eagerness to learn technical aspects of baseband and IP based products and ability to self‑educate to competency level given appropriate resources.

Skills and Knowledge
 * Good working knowledge & understanding of video and audio infrastructures from a technical perspective.
 * Good computer and networking knowledge, ability to set up and troubleshoot PC and Linux based systems, network infrastructure and Video/Audio over IP technologies.
Communication
 * Must have good interpersonal & communication skills.
 * Fluent in English.
Planning and Organisation
 * Can organise and plan own work to meet tight deadlines, whilst simultaneously working on a variety of projects.
 * Manage customer relationships, both internal and external.

 * Self‑motivated, able to self‑manage time, targets and workload.
 * Enthusiastic and maintains professionalism, even under extreme pressure.
 * Flexible, willing and able to travel or work overtime at short notice.
