We are known for our collaborative approach, strong delivery teams, and focus on long-term relationships with clients and supply chain partners.As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to play a key role in securing and shaping future work.The RoleYou will take ownership of tender pricing from first principles through to handover, working closely with directors, commercial teams, and delivery managers. This is a senior, trusted role with real influence over how projects are priced, risk-managed, and delivered.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projectsReview and interrogate drawings, specifications, schedules, and the employer’s requirementsPrepare detailed cost plans, take-offs, and pricing modelsManage and coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring full scope coverageEvaluate and benchmark subcontractor returns for commercial and technical complianceCarry out site visits and pre-tender meetings as requiredIdentify risk, opportunity, and value-engineering options within tendersWork collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams during bid stagesPresent pricing summaries and tender clarifications to senior managementEnsure a clear and structured handover of successful tenders to the construction and commercial teams.Experience & QualificationsMinimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a UK principal contractorProven experience in pricing, design & build and traditional contractsExperience across residential, commercial, industrial, or public-sector projectsDegree or HNC/HND in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or similar (preferred but not essential)Technical SkillsConstruction estimating and cost planningFirst-principles pricingSubcontract procurement and package analysisValue engineering and cost optimisationRisk identification and tender strategyTender documentation and bid submissionsStrong Excel skillsExperience with estimating software (Causeway preferred)Understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routesPersonal & Commercial SkillsCommercially astute with strong attention to detailAble to work autonomously and manage multiple tenders simultaneouslyConfident communicator with clients, consultants, and supply chain partnersCalm under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlinesCollaborative mindset and strong team ethicPackage & BenefitsCompetitive salary £60,000 – £70,000 (DOE)Car allowance33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Flexible and hybrid working optionsLong-term opportunity within a stable and growing contractorDirect applicants only – no agency submissions please.
