Adult and Children’s Financial Services (ACFS) support the delivery of Staffordshire County Council priorities:

ACFS is a pivotal part of the Adult and Children Social Care Pathways, responsible for facilitating and overseeing payments to providers of Adult and Children’s Social Care and for collecting client contributions in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and local policy. Adult Social Care covers individuals receiving care at home (non-residential) or in care homes (residential).
We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join ACFS as Finance Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, fast-paced department.
Please note: We have 5 Finance Officer vacancies:
* 4 x Permanent full-time, 37 hours per week
* 1 x Fixed-term 12-month contract, full-time 37 hours per week (secondment)

This role offers hybrid working, requiring attendance at our Stafford office once a week plus occasional meetings, with most work done remotely.
Main Responsibilities
This role primarily involves the accurate and timely processing of Adult Social Care charges, including:
* Billing charges to care recipients
* Payments to care providers
* Managing system records
* Liaising with financial representatives
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
* Possess good communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships
* Proactively provide excellent customer service
* Deliver accurate and timely work
* Be competent with multiple computer systems
* Have excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
* Having knowledge of social care and charging is beneficial but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided
