A well-established business based in Driffield is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a steady and confident finance professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring reconciliations are completed thoroughly, and producing reliable management information to support business decisions. Offering a competitive salary of £38,000 – £45,000, this role would suit someone who takes pride in running a well-organised and efficient finance operation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
2. Full responsibility for sales ledger, purchase ledger and general ledger
3. Completing monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
4. Producing monthly Management Accounts with supporting commentary
5. Monitoring cash flow and preparing forecasts
6. Preparing and submitting VAT returns
7. Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external accountants
8. Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with company procedures
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
9. Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role
10. Strong reconciliation and ledger management skills
11. Experience producing Management Accounts independently
12. A methodical, organised and detail-focused approach
13. The confidence to manage a finance function autonomously
14. AAT qualification, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or be qualified by experience
