An opportunity has arisen for a People Assistant to support two sites in Northampton. This role will be site based and will split their time between Swan Valley and Brackmills Industrial Estate.
To deliver a generalist HR Support in a professional manner, working as a part of a proactive and responsive team to provide pragmatic and focused HR solutions for the site and wider business.
Full Time Equivalent Salary - £25,000 per annum
Duties and responsibilities:
* To work with the People Advisors to provide an effective and customer-focused HR service supporting all aspects of employee relationships and engagement.
* To provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and agreements.
* To advise, support, and guide managers in investigations, performance management, absence management, disciplinaries, appeals, and family-friendly procedures (maternity, paternity, parental leave, flexible working).
* To assist in the recruitment process from start to finish, including guiding managers throughout.
* To assist in producing HR statistics and KPIs weekly/monthly.
* To develop and maintain close relationships with key internal and external customers.
* To update and maintain HR Information Systems (Oracle).
* To produce and maintain accurate reports and records for all HR issues.
* To ensure all administration is carried out timely, effectively, and accurately.
* To support communication and feedback channels to enhance employee engagement.
* To assist with learning and development initiatives.
* Reporting to the People Manager.
Experience, skills, attributes, and the person:

* Understanding of good HR practices and employment law.
* Resourceful and able to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Effective team player who recognizes potential in others.
* Previous HR experience in logistics/distribution is advantageous.
