Our Solihull-based client is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting key compliance and reporting activities. Main purpose & goals Take ownership of specific balance sheet reconciliations, improving and streamlining associated processes. Contribute to year-end reporting, ensuring timely and accurate statutory submissions. Assist with company secretarial tasks, including preparation of statutory accounts and strike-offs. Engage with auditors and internal stakeholders to support audit activities. Apply technical accounting knowledge to produce relevant papers, workings, and documentation. Work effectively within a financial control environment to maintain compliance and accuracy. Identify, propose, and implement improvements to existing accounting processes and controls.
