Senior Account Executive/Junior Account Manager – Medical Communications
Oxford (Hybrid)
£33,000 - £38,000
A friendly and well-established independent medical communications agency based in Oxford is looking for a Junior Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with early experience in medical communications or healthcare project management who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Junior Account Manager, you will support the delivery of a range of medical communications projects for pharmaceutical clients. Working closely with senior members of the account team, you will help ensure projects run smoothly and are delivered on time, on brief and within budget.
You will play an important role in coordinating projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the development of high-quality materials alongside scientific, creative and digital teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the management and delivery of multiple client projects
* Ensure clear briefs are communicated to internal teams
* Assist in coordinating project timelines and deliverables
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Support the preparation and review of client materials
* Help coordinate meetings, agendas and project status updates
* Ensure processes and compliance procedures (including GDPR and pharmaceutical codes of practice such as ABPI) are followed
* Support budget tracking, forecasting and project administration
* Work closely with experienced Account Managers and Account Directors
* Gain exposure to a variety of medical communications programmes and therapy areas
About You
* 1–2+ years’ experience in medical communications
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
* A collaborative team player with a positive mindset
* Competent in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Ideally educated to degree level (a scientific degree such as BSc is advantageous)
