Blakeney Surgery (part of GDOC LTD) has a vacancy for a part-time dispenser to join our friendly and experienced dispensary team. The dispensary is an integral part of the pharmacy team and the wider practice team at Blakeney, focusing on ensuring medicines are dispensed safely and promptly. We aim to provide high-quality service to patients, doctors, nurses, and other practice members.

Main duties of the job
1. Dispensary Duties:
2. Carry out dispensing procedures according to Practice Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Participate in weekly monitored dose system orders (if applicable).
4. Distribute prescriptions and dispensed items, and collect payments where appropriate.
5. Handle prescription queries and ensure they are explained and handed over to the next shift.
6. Undertake DRUMs as required.
7. Respond to clinical staff requests during surgery.
8. Deal promptly with drug alerts.
Working Conditions
The role is primarily based at Blakeney Surgery, with occasional cover at another practice. It involves frequent, prolonged VDU use.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in dispensing or higher.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience
* Experience as a qualified dispenser, preferably in primary care.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and SystmOne.
