The Person
* Must be a qualified Social Worker with history of working with adults
* Current DBS ideally on the update service
* Registered with Social Care Wales
* As part of our ongoing commitment a basic understanding of the Welsh language is desirable

Accessing Personal Social Services
1. Engaging in a structured conversation with those making initial enquiry of the service and evaluating any information given
2. Giving information, advice/and or sign- posting to other services
3. Apply service access criteria to make a judgement on whether a referral is appropriate
4. Assessing urgency of response required to a referral
5. Assessing initial level of priority of a referral
6. Making initial enquiries, e.g. other agencies, contacts
7. Accurately and fully recording referral information in accordance with departmental procedures
8. Ensuring the timely transfer of referral information in accordance with departmental procedures and time scales
