We are looking for someone to come and join our team at Rosehill Residential Home in Carlisle as our new domestic assistant. The Role
* You will start shadowing our very friendly domestics to learn how we clean our home
* You will have a positive, can do approach with a professional, friendly team working attitude
* You will enjoy working for our residents ensuring their home is clean, tidy and homely
* You will be a real people person and empathise with older individuals living with dementia
* You will have the ability to communicate in a professional, patient and friendly manner to visitors, residents and team members alike
* You will have a good working knowledge of COSHH, hygiene and infection control (or be happy and willing to work towards this) and you will follow our procedures/policies at all times
* You will have a sense of pride in your cleaning and you'll enjoy the physicality and routines of the cleaning role
* You will be able to work a mixture of early pm) and late shifts pm) 4 shifts per week (30hours). You will work a weekend on weekend off rolling rota. If you require more shifts/hours please let us know at interview.
* On your late shift you may be required to clean dinner dishes and return them to the relevant resident lounges. Friendly shadow training is provided for this.
