Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
* Conduct load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of electrical power systems.
* Manage and analyze the electrical load budget.
* Develop and validate electrical models.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on power system matters.
* Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations.
* Develop and mentor team members.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
* Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions.
* Experience with electrical load budget and load flow analysis.
* Understanding of power system analysis software tools (e.g., ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, MATLAB).
* Stakeholder management experience.

The Electrical Verification Team:
As part of this team, you will verify and validate the power system, conduct analysis, and perform calculations to support the electrical platform's maturity and design. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility.
