About The Role
The Endoscopy Units at Mid Yorkshire have a vacancy for a caring, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking nurse who will enhance our existing, well-established teams.
Endoscopy is a fast-moving environment, with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed across all sites; no two days are the same!
Endoscopy experience is advantageous but not essential, as a full training programme will be provided, including 4 weeks supernumerary, a comprehensive workbook, and a named supervisor.
Successful applicants will be required to participate in cross-site working and the 24-hour on-call GI bleed service we provide.
Main duties
Provide pre-, mid-, and post-procedure care and monitoring to patients attending for endoscopic procedures.
Assist the endoscopist in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Provide relevant, evidence-based information and advice to patients, relatives, and carers.
Provide clinical supervision and support to staff and students.
Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota for upper GI bleeds.
Uphold the values and behaviours of MYTT.
Participate in maintaining accreditation with the Joint Advisory Group for Endoscopy.
