SEND Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start in Newton Abbot, Devon!

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for you to join our partner SEN schools in Newton Abbot, Devon!

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a variety of needs. You will work in an inclusive environment that focuses on personalised support and holistic development. Full preparation and support will be provided, including a meet-and-greet session and a trial day.

Areas of Support:

* Primary & Secondary Support
* PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities)
* SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
* Complex Needs & ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Details:

* Start Date: ASAP – Flexible openings
* Contract Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
* Pay: £90-£100 per day (based on experience)
* Employer: Teaching Personnel – Leading UK recruitment agency in education

Responsibilities:

* Provide individualized support for students with SEN
* Work alongside teachers to create personalized learning plans
* Foster a safe, positive environment for emotional and social growth
* Adapt resources and activities to students’ learning styles

* Passion for supporting young people with SEN
* Previous education or care experience (preferred but not essential)
* Patience, communication skills, and resilience
* Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
