Overview

We have an exciting opportunity with our Centre for Graduate Prospects for an Academic Development Officer (Employability & Enterprise). Fixed term until 31/07/2026 covering staff secondment, you will support the embedding of employability and enterprise across the University of Sunderland, and the creation of confident and motivated students who develop into professional, adaptable and engaged graduates, by ensuring that: -Enterprise and employability are embedded into the curriculum and wider student experience by supporting the design and delivery of relevant programmes and support interventions. - Academics and Centre for Graduate Prospects (CfGP) colleagues are supported in the planning and development of enterprise and employability education in the curriculum. - Students can learn how to develop self-awareness and self-efficacy as well as experience a variety of work contexts and develop economic, social and/or cultural value for others.

The successful candidate will have a proven knowledge and experience of developing and delivering embedded employability and/or enterprise education in partnership with academic staff. As well as experience in developing and delivering professional development in curriculum development and effective pedagogy. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across a range of teams and groups of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

* Embed enterprise and employability into the curriculum and wider student experience by supporting the design and delivery of relevant programmes and support interventions.
* Support Academics and CfGP colleagues in the planning and development of enterprise and employability education in the curriculum.
* Enable students to learn how to develop self-awareness and self-efficacy as well as experience a variety of work contexts and develop economic, social and/or cultural value for others.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a proven knowledge and experience of developing and delivering embedded employability and/or enterprise education in partnership with academic staff. As well as experience in developing and delivering professional development in curriculum development and effective pedagogy. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across a range of teams and groups of stakeholders.
