I'm looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an Engineering business based in Warrington, that operates in the Nuclear and Defence sectors. The Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide expert commercial support and guidance throughout the project life-cycle. Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, you'll ensure robust contract administration, manage change processes, and help drive compliance across all commercial activities. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your Quantity Surveying career within a growing and supportive project team. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert
commercial advice and support
across all phases of the project. Manage and administer
contract changes, compensation events, and ensure appropriate contractual notices are issued. Support
bid governance and review processes, ensuring compliance and consistency. Ensure adherence to
internal compliance
standards and liaise with the Head of Commercial and customer representatives where needed. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders, aligning commercial objectives and shared goals. Interpret and apply the
head contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment throughout the supply chain. Proactively monitor and ensure
contract compliance, identifying and addressing any areas of risk or non-conformance. Essential Experience: Proven experience in a
Quantity Surveying
role, ideally within a regulated or complex project environment. Strong
commercial acumen
with the ability to manage change, risk, and commercial governance. Practical experience working with
standard forms of contract, particularly NEC3. Solid understanding of
commercial administration, supply chain engagement, and contract delivery in high-assurance environments. Ability to interpret
business requirements
and reflect these in sourcing and commercial strategies. A collaborative mindset, with experience working across
multi-disciplinary teams. Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent) in
Quantity Surveying
or a relevant subject. Working Arrangements: Hybrid working model: 3 days on-site in Warrington and 2 days remote. Standard 37 hour working week. Flexibility required to support project milestones when necessary. The salary is £50,000 to £61,500 plus an excellent benefits package and you MUST be eligible for SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
