Our client, an established engineering consultancy, are on the lookout for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their well-established team, in a permanent role. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to attend the Basingstoke office on a hybrid basis to work on a variety of railway projects.
-Competitive salary ranging between £29,000-£40,000 (subject to experience).

Responsibilities:
-Support the design and delivery stages within complex Rail projects, from concept through to design, with a focus on electrical system elements.
-Create in-depth drawings and specifications using relevant software, such as Revit and AutoCAD, whilst working with other professionals to ensure smooth system integration.
-Oversee extensive electrical calculations, lighting design and distribution drawings, ensuring alignment with current regulations.
-Conduct site visits and inspections, allowing for installation reviews, troubleshooting and quality assurance.
-Keep up to date with industry developments and implement them into projects.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
-Previous experience with producing design for electrical building services systems, for a multitude of projects, with a focus on Rail systems.
-Strong understanding of software tools, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and other design platforms, including, Amtech, Dialux or Relux.
-Proficient understanding of lighting, life safety systems, LV systems, and fire alarms.
-Profound communication and collaborative skills, with a detail-orientated and proactive mindset
