About The Role

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor within our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects that support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
A Managing Quantity Surveyor has significant experience in managing contracts and costs relating to infrastructure and civil engineering projects. They actively seek to minimise the cost of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for our clients. Typically, this role will be chartered or in the final stages of achieving professional membership of the RICS (or equivalent) and will be a peer role model for those less experienced members of the commercial team.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Experience of NEC contract administration and management.
* Measure, record and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.
* Compose applications for payment, data assurance/analysis and final account procedures.
* Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs value reconciliations.
* Review programmes of works and plan commercial activities to meet the requirements of programmes.
* End‑to‑end supplier procurement, supply‑chain management, contract administration and value‑for‑money assurance.
* Actively identify, communicate and manage risk in collaboration with the project team.
* Support the development of other team members and provide professional guidance.
* Hold or be working towards professional membership from the RICS or equivalent.
Qualifications
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
