As our next IT Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future foundations of our business. From managing hybrid cloud environments and automating workflows to improving security and scaling our infrastructure, your work will help us move forward, one job at a time. Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on: Building and maintaining secure, reliable infrastructure that keeps our teams and systems running smoothly. Improving how we manage and automate our infrastructure by spotting opportunities and putting better solutions in place. Working closely with security, platform and software engineering teams to deliver tools and systems the business can rely on. Making sure our systems are stable, secure and easy for teams across Checkatrade to use. It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring: Experience managing IT infrastructure across Windows Server, Active Directory and Office 365. Strong experience administering identity platforms like Okta, including SSO, MFA and automated user lifecycle management. Experience running Google Workspace environments, including user provisioning, security controls and integrations. Strong experience with Azure, with some exposure to AWS or Google Cloud. A solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs and firewalls. Experience scripting or automating tasks using PowerShell, Python or Bash. Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Okta Workflows or Zapier. Experience managing devices across macOS, ChromeOS and Windows using tools like Kandji or Intune. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams. We believe great work deserves great rewards.
