Role: Electrical Engineer
Status: Contract, 12 months
Start Date: May / June 2025
Location: Middlesbrough, Addison
Project Plc is seeking a contractor to provide Electrical (Design) Engineering services for a period of 12 months based in our office in Middlesbrough.
Services to be provided
1. Site surveys, visits, and client meetings
2. Electrical cable routing drawings & cable schedules
3. Electrical engineering design
4. Electrical cable diagrams, loop diagrams
5. Electrical installation scope of work documents
6. Electrical datasheets
7. Checking and approval of engineering design
8. Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and vendor liaison
9. Technical evaluations of estimates
10. Liaise with other disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, civil, structural) to coordinate requirements for vendor packages and design
11. Technical assistance on equipment specifications and bid compliance
Person Specification
* Relevant qualifications within EC&I, minimum of an HNC, preferably a degree
* Experience with relevant calculations, problem solving, and ensuring projects meet specifications within set timescales and budgets
* Experience in the process sector (chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharma, F&B)
* Good knowledge of ATEX directives for electrical equipment in hazardous areas (beneficial)
* Experience attending and representing at project meetings with stakeholders
* Distribution and motor control experience (desirable)
* Experience with Pro/Engineer software (desirable)
* LV experience is essential; HV experience is also welcomed
