Underwriting Auditor (Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time) Contract Type: Secondment Location: Flexible Grade: G3 Hiring Manager: Anna Carroll The opportunity: We are seeking an Underwriting Auditor to support the delivery of our underwriting assurance plan for Delegated Authority Arrangements (DAs) and Managing General Agents (MGAs) across the UK. What you’ll be doing DAs and MGAs continue be a growth area in Zurich’s future strategy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Delegated Program Reviews (DPRs) for DAs and MGAs, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as DA Owners, Relationship Managers, Underwriting Leads as well as the broker or MGA. You will produce a report with key insights into the arrangement and detail any findings and actions for improvement. You’ll help strengthen our partnership with brokers and MGAs by making sure they meet all regulatory requirements and deliver for our customers. Focus on continuous improvement and simplification to reduce pain points and complexity. Your key responsibilities include: Supporting the delivery of the UK’s Underwriting Assurance Plan Ensuring that all appropriate regulatory and operational controls are in place Identifying any potential harm to our customers and exploring solutions through findings and actions Ensuring timely and accurate recording of information Working closely with other departments across Zurich UK, such as Legal, Marketing and Compliance, to determine that all appropriate controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the DA Working closely with subject matter experts such as Supplier Governance, Legal, Compliance, Distribution, etc, to determine that all broker/MGAs display appropriate behaviours to manage a DA What are we looking for? Strong verbal and written communication skills - this role involves a high level of engagement with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions Confidence to question and challenge existing ways of working An interest in governance and doing the right thing Proactivity and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workloads Ability to produce accurate and timely underwriting assurance review reports An understanding of Delegated Authorities would be beneficial but is not essential What you’ll get from the role A great opportunity to expand your network of contacts as you’ll also be dealing working across the UK and global underwriting community as well as other important areas such as Legal, Compliance and Governance.
