Job Details
As a Seasonal Receptionist, you will be based at the Willie Clark Visitor Centre, Lochore Meadows Country Park, working a shift pattern that will include evenings and occasional weekends to cover holidays. You will provide a friendly, welcoming, and professional front‑of‑house service to visitors, acting as a key point of contact for enquiries and information about the park and its facilities. Your duties will include operating booking and payment systems, handling cash and card transactions, responding to customer enquiries face to face, by telephone, and via email, and providing accurate information to enhance the visitor experience. You will support events, activities, and facility bookings, ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
The role will also include light cleaning and tidying duties within the visitor centre to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and service users. You will prepare and clear reception and public areas as required to meet operational needs.
You will operate in line with service guidelines, health and safety policies, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures. You will ensure that routine building compliance checks are carried out when required, which may include fire safety checks and general site monitoring. You may be required to act as a nominated key holder, responsible for opening and securing the building at designated times. This includes internal and external areas of the visitor centre and may involve operating alarm systems and responding to out‑of‑hours alarm activations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with the ability to be able to work unsupervised and independently as part of a wider team. You will possess good communication skills, be customer focused and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude at all times.
