Overview

We are offering a great opportunity for a Specialist Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our friendly Occupational Health team. This is a fantastic position with the opportunity to work with our team in progressing the breadth and depth of the services we offer.

We are committed to supporting continuing professional development and provide in-house and external training courses as well as specialist legal updates to support, extend and maintain the clinical teams expert knowledge and skills as both leaders and specialist nurses.


Responsibilities

* The successful candidate will be fully qualified in Occupational Health (and be on part 3 of NMC register).
* Assist in the development of the service and take a proactive and flexible approach to influence the health and wellbeing of employees.
* Contribute to delivering a comprehensive range of Occupational Health services for around 8,500 employees across two acute hospital sites and additional locations in Kent, as well as external contracts.
* Work with the team to progress the breadth and depth of services offered and support service improvement initiatives.


Qualifications and Skills

* Fully qualified in Occupational Health (and on Part 3 of the NMC register).
* Motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, and willing to take a team approach to service delivery.


Working Hours and Location

The core hours of the department are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:00pm (no public holidays). The role includes travel to Trust sites as part of the induction and ongoing work.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date has been agreed. Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
