Risk and Health Consultant
Salary - up to £50,000 plus bonus
Various UK offices available
Job Purpose:
The role involves providing desk-based and occasional face-to-face consultancy services to an existing portfolio of clients, as well as growing the portfolio through new client opportunities and expanded sales within the existing client base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver excellent customer outcomes through effective account management, retention, and growth of a Group Risk and Healthcare SME client portfolio
* Build rapport with clients and providers through thorough knowledge of their schemes and regular contact via telephone, video calls, and face-to-face meetings
* Consult and process scheme renewals and rate reviews in line with internal processes
* Provide proactive support for ongoing client services and project-based work
* Work with administration/support teams to manage workflow and handle client queries, escalating where necessary
* Prepare and deliver employee presentations and communications
* Collaborate across the wider business and Employee Benefits team to deliver solutions matching client requirements
* Achieve financial objectives including retention and new business income targets
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: Experienced in advising on both Group Risk (Life, Income Protection, Critical Illness) and Group Healthcare (PMI, Dental, Health Cash Plans) policies
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in the Employee Benefits industry; previous consultancy experience desirable
* Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits products, market trends, and regulatory requirements in FCA-regulated environments
* Skills: Excellent communication, questioning, and listening skills; highly organised; strong administrative capabilities; IT literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Attitude: Team player, adaptable in a dynamic environment, dedicated to client satisfaction and achieving financial and service performance targets
