Practice Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Full-Time | Permanent | Cannock | Office Based
Monday to Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm OR 9am - 5pm OR 9.30am - 5.30pm | 37.5 hours per week
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant with a background in practice? We’re working with a highly respected accountancy firm in Cannock that is looking to add a motivated individual to their team.

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies
* Completing VAT returns and managing general bookkeeping tasks
* Drafting income and corporation tax calculations
* Creating cash flow forecasts and financial projections
* Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and support
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working in an accountancy practice
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and tax
* Good working knowledge of Sage, along with Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Confident communication skills – both face-to-face and written
* A proactive, team-focused attitude and a willingness to learn
* Ideally Level 2 or 3 AAT qualified
