About this role
We are currently seeking to recruit a full time, Residential Services Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Residential Services team. Providing a helpful and welcoming Reception service to students, staff and visitors to the University; acting as the first point of contact in the Conference and Accommodation Office, responding positively to queries with a professional, pragmatic and flexible approach to work. This is a busy and varied role, assisting with numerous queries from various stakeholders.
Working Monday to Friday with an 8.00am start each day, you will manage a busy reception service and assist with the organisation and arrangement at events such as Open Days as required which will require some weekend and out of hours working.
About you
You will work with confidence, integrity, confidentiality and a professional image, maintaining the highest level of customer experience to students and visitors using the conference and accommodation service. Providing general administrative support to the department including note taking at a variety of meetings and student disciplinary hearings. It’s essential you have excellent written communication skills and the ability to undertake a wide range of tasks using Microsoft Office applications and other bespoke IT systems. You will have a good general education and will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and demonstrate experience of working in a busy customer focused environment and have the ability to work well as part of a team but also have the confidence to work on your own initiative.
