Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Design & Compliance, Project Delivery & Management:
2. Manage the electrical team, including engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
3. Ensure the safe and efficient installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV and battery storage systems.
4. Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
5. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
6. Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, and regulatory bodies for grid connections and compliance.
7. Lead the electrical design process for commercial Solar PV and battery storage projects.
8. Ensure designs comply with BS 7671 (Wiring Regulations), G99, and IEC standards.
9. Provide technical oversight of electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
10. Conduct load assessments, cable sizing, protection design, and grid connection applications.
11. Review power system studies, including earthing, fault level analysis, and harmonics.
12. Oversee the electrical Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of installed assets.
13. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
Attributes / Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in Electrical Management
* Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, system integration, and compliance with UK regulations.
* Familiarity with grid connection processes (G99/G100) and DNO liaison.
* Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
* Experience with AutoCAD, PV*Sol, Amtech, or similar design software.
* Strong understanding of H&S standards, including CDM regulations and risk assessments.
* Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
