Title: Support Worker (Homelessness, Drug & Alcohol Support) – Edinburgh
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing homelessness and substance use challenges?
ASA Recruitment is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Edinburgh. In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, person centred support to individuals navigating complex life circumstances, including homelessness, addiction, and mental health issues.
Work with individuals experiencing homelessness and provide drug and alcohol support.
Develop and implement tailored support plans that address each individual’s goals and outcomes
Offer support, guidance, and advocacy, focusing on daily living skills, health and wellbeing, and recovery from substance use.
Work closely with local healthcare providers, housing services, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive support.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.
Understanding of issues related to homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health.
Relevant qualifications in housing, social care, social work, psychology, or related fields are desirable. This may include SVQs in Health and Social Care or Housing, HNCs in Social Services or Housing Practice, or other certified training related to tenancy management, homelessness prevention, or community support.
