Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support the learning of a pupil in year 2 with varied SEN in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Greenhead on a full-time basis.
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils with a pupil in year 2 in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Greenhead on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils on a 1:1 basis and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
1. The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis in all of their lessons. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
2. The role may involve supporting none-verbal pupils, or pupils who require support with their personal care.
3. The role will also involve working alongside the Class Teacher to plan and deliver inspiring learning activities that are suited to the needs and learning style of pupils.
4. A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
8. Pay – Between £88-110 per day
9. Hours –
10. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
11. Start Date – ASAP
12. Location – Greenhead (CA8)
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
13. A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
14. Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
15. An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
16. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
17. Hold Right to Work in the UK
18. Ability to drive and access to a car (desired)
19. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
20. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
