Facilities Assistant
Manchester City Centre, % office based
Full-time, 35 hours per week with occasional weekend work paid as overtime
On-going temporary contract which could lead to a permanent opportunity
£13.27 per hour
Office Angels are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to join our prestigious client based in Manchester City Centre.
Duties will include:
1. Greeting and directing visitors to the correct location
2. Responsible for all relevant postal services and deliveries
3. Responsible for signing out and collection of relevant passes, ensuring records are kept up to date, accurate and voiding missing passes
4. Answering and transferring telephone calls
5. Running the facilities help desk system
6. Scheduling planned maintenance and prioritising urgent requirements
7. Escalate problems in-line with the escalation process within the facilities team
8. Manage bookings and cancellations for rooms, catering, and AV equipment
9. Setting up meeting rooms in line with the booking requirements
10. Confirming bookings and producing management information
11. Ensuring that service providers complete assigned tasks
12. Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time
We are looking for candidates with:
13. Experience working in a front-line customer facing environment (essential)
14. While previous facilities experience would be desirable, it is not essential
15. Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
16. Excellent IT skills including MS Office. Any experience of help desk or meeting room booking systems would be an advantage.
17. Enthusiastic and the ability to build rapport easily with colleagues and customers
18. First class interpersonal skills
19. Ability to work well within a team
20. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
