Hays is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer for our client based in Fermanagh. This role will be part of their Regional Management Team, Northern region operations. We are working in partnership with a world-leading design, engineering, and project management organization dedicated to engineering a better future for everyone. The company is committed to delivering end-to-end service to its clients across the whole lifecycle, from Capital, Consulting, Commissioning, Engineering and Design, Operations and Maintenance, Project and Program management up to Project Delivery.
Your new role
The Senior Engineer will oversee the management, maintenance, recreational, commercial use, and future development of water infrastructure. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Regional Depots and will engage with Operations Stores to support the development, procurement, and purchasing of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management
* Liaise with environmental bodies and in-house environmental staff to ensure that environmental requirements are met to help manage and monitor projects within budget, deadlines, and quality standards.
* Contribute to and comply with the Health and Safety Statement and other procedures, including undertaking safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
* Assist with the development of methods, processes, and systems to enhance productivity.
* Deal with any matter as requested by the Senior Management Team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Hold a current driving license and have access to transport permitting travel throughout Ireland.
* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
