3 months contract with a local authority Job Purpose To support the delivery of strategic leisure, sport, and community development initiatives. The Programme Delivery Officer will coordinate key partnerships, facilitate community engagement, and contribute to the successful implementation of local and national strategies aimed at increasing participation in physical activity, arts, and youth services. Key Duties/Accountabilities Oversee the implementation of the Playing Pitch and Built Leisure Facility Strategy recommendations. Facilitate Indoor and Outdoor Leisure Facility Partnership meetings and liaise with Sport England and National Governing Bodies for Sport. Contribute to the Uniting the Movement initiative to strengthen networks for physical activity and sport development. Lead and manage community engagement activities, particularly with young people and disabled individuals, including fundraising efforts. Coordinate and support the Redditch Youth Providers Forum, offering ongoing assistance to partner organisations. Assist in the delivery of the RENEW (Rediscover North East Worcestershire) programme, funded by Arts Council England (£550k). Provide administrative support to the service manager, including finance tracking, database management, and general office duties. Essential Experience Required Proven experience in programme or project delivery within community development, sport, leisure, or youth services. Experience working with public sector bodies, voluntary organisations, or national governing bodies. Essential Qualification Required A relevant qualification in Community Development, Sports Management, Leisure Services, Youth Work, or a related field (Level 3 or above preferred). Additional Information Working Hours: 37 hours per week. Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office, some home working. Location: Redditch Town Hall B98 /Bromsgrove Parkside B61 and some home working.
