Support Worker - Positive Behaviour Support

Full-time, part-time, and occasional hours are available.

You must have a valid UK driving licence for this role.

A night enhancement of £1.00 per hour applies from 8pm to 7am Monday – Thursday (excluding sleep-ins). A weekend enhancement of £1.00 per hour applies from 8pm Friday to 7am Monday (excluding sleep-ins).

Our supported living service at Benholme supports men 24/7 in a shared home, who present with sensory needs and expressive communication challenges, following a positive behaviour support plan to live independently and fulfilling lives.

Due to the location, driving is desirable. Please check the location before applying: Benholme, Main Road, Kendal, Burneside, Kendal, LA9 6QX.

Support individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs to live proactively in their own homes and communities.

Join our team to provide positive and engaging support to individuals with sensory needs and expressive communication. Previous experience as a care assistant, support worker, or healthcare worker is desirable but not essential. We offer excellent training and induction programs.

As a PBS Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, your duties will include:

1. Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
2. Supporting individuals at external events and appointments.
3. Encouraging independence and supporting individual aspirations.
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

1. Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
3. Be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
4. Be flexible to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota if required.
