The Role Support risk identification and mitigation across regional engineering activities, helping to embed proactive prevention into maintenance planning. Assist in maintaining M&E governance, policies and statutory compliance, ensuring inspections, audits and actions are completed effectively and on time. Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture across maintenance operations. Support the optimisation of planned preventative maintenance programmes, helping to reduce reactive works through root cause analysis and practical engineering solutions. Provide regional technical support through audits and site visits, identifying risks and assisting with implementing corrective actions. Contribute to the development of maintenance teams through onboarding support, training guidance and capability building. Assist with data-led Opex and Capex planning, ensuring maintenance investment aligns with asset condition and risk. Act as a key technical link between Head Office and club teams, supporting clear communication, reporting and visibility of maintenance activities. Support delivery of M&E projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget. Monitor utilities and energy performance, contributing to efficiency, sustainability and asset improvement initiatives. Experience Strong engineering background, ideally within leisure, hospitality or similar multi-site environments. Recognised technical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent apprenticeship route). Experience working with swimming pool plant systems and associated safety standards. Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, statutory compliance, Fire Safety and L8 (Legionella). Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults both on-site and remotely. Experience supporting technical projects and managing contractor performance. Excellent organisational skills, planning capability and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple sites.
