About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in both their practical and theoretical development. You will encourage creativity, confidence, and academic progress through well-planned and inclusive teaching.
Key duties include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons to mixed-ability classes
* Teaching performance, composition, and music theory
* Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
* Creating a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
* Encouraging creativity, participation, and a love of music
About you
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
* Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or QLTS) with a Music specialism
* Have experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4 in UK secondary schools
* Are confident in delivering differentiated and engaging lessons
* Have strong behaviour management and organisational skills
* Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or are willing to apply for one
