Beach Tennis UK is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable LTA-qualified tennis or padel coach to support our Head Coach and help develop our beach tennis programme.
This is a flexible self-employed sessional role, ideal for a coach looking for additional coaching income alongside existing work. Hours will start on a sessional basis, with scope to build regular coaching opportunities as the programme develops.
Beach tennis experience is welcome, but not essential. Training and support will be given. We are looking for a coach with strong racket‑sport knowledge, good communication skills and a positive approach to working with adults, juniors, beginners and mixed‑ability groups.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your coaching experience, become involved in a growing racket sport, and be part of the development of beach tennis locally and across the UK through Beach Tennis UK.
Job Description
The role is primarily to support the Head Coach with coaching delivery and player development.
Sessions may include beginner and improver coaching, junior coaching, taster sessions, open days, occasional adult coaching and cover when the Head Coach is unavailable.
The coach will help create a welcoming, encouraging and inclusive environment, supporting players to build confidence, enjoy the sport and progress into regular club play.
Where required, practical support with courts and equipment may be included when covering agreed sessions. Any agreed additional time will be included in the paid session time or agreed session fee.
A complimentary Beach Tennis UK membership will be included while actively coaching with the club.
Beach Tennis UK has been developing and promoting beach tennis for over 15 years.
Our Brighton programme is based at Brighton Sand Court on the seafront. We run sessions for adults, juniors, beginners, improvers and regular club players, including coaching, tasters, open days, social play, club events and tournaments.
We are looking for a coach who enjoys helping people learn, improve and feel welcome, and who is interested in supporting the growth of beach tennis as a developing sport.
