About the team
Our Employment department deals with all aspects of employment law, from advising an employee on pursuing an unfair dismissal claim, or a claim for unpaid wages, to defending claims of whistleblowing and discrimination on behalf of respondents. As well as acting for employees and employers during the litigation process, they also provide advisory HR services such as drafting contracts & policies or guiding and supporting businesses through the complexity of employment law requirements.
About the role
As an Employment Paralegal, you’ll gain valuable experience by managing your own caseload and resolving disputes, on behalf of both Claimants and Respondents, delivering a high level of client service excellence.
You’ll negotiate claims to a successful outcome, through the most efficient and economic means, and identify (and report on) any risks related to the claim and the company. You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to support the delivery of SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.

Key Requirements
We're keen to hear from candidates with experience working within a legal environment, at either a Paralegal or Associate level (specific Employment experience is preferred). You'll ideally have some previous experience running your own caseload, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, whilst demonstrating resilience and exceptional client care skills. You'll also have a high level of understanding of procedural matters within the litigation area, including all aspects of protocols and civil procedure.

* Experience of working in an SRA regulated environment (desirable).
