The energy crisis, higher winter energy prices and climate change impacts are a concern for anyone living in ruralScotland. We have an exciting opportunity in the Home Energy Scotland Highlands & Islands team for aself-motivated individual to provide energy advice and support to householders in Orkney to manage these impactson their lives.
As our new Home Energy Officer, you will have the drive and capability to advise householders on energy efficiency,renewables and affordable warmth to help them keep their homes warm as high energy costs continue to impact onthe cost of living.
You will provide clear, independent and impartial advice to support householders to make informed decisions to saveenergy and carbon. If you are an excellent communicator, numerate and with a good knowledge of energy use in thehome you will be well suited to this role. There will be a requirement to travel, sometimes overnight. You mustbe able to work well within the team, as well as work effectively on your own to help achieve team targets.

This is a new role within an existing and expanding team to deliver the EcoCosi service supporting homeowners todecarbonise their homes. Homeowners face multiple barriers to improving the carbon footprint of their homes,this is where our retrofit service comes in. We work with homeowners to enable them to improve the energyefficiency of their homes through tailored advice, support and services. You’ll be joining us at an excitingtime as we expand the service.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with experience of coordinating domestic retrofitprojects from customer engagement and initial whole house survey to handover, completion and after care. As askilled communicator with outstanding customer service skills, you will excel in helping homeowners to identifywhich retrofit measures are needed and suitable for achieving their individual requirements and support themthrough installation projects. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to deliver aquality service and will always protect the clients’ interests and make sure works and processes comply to therelevant standards.

This will include ensuring compliance with all policy and related expectations of a publicly-funded organisation,managing HR strategies, volunteer agreements and day-to-day finances such as payroll and expenses.

ECCAN has recently been approved as a Scottish Charity Incorporated Organisation by OSCR. The role of ECCAN’s Members Support and Events Lead is dynamic and multifaceted, serving as an important bridgebetween the members and the organisation. Operating within Edinburgh's four localities, this person willfrequently travel and be the primary point of contact for the network’s members, offering project developmentsupport and enabling groups to take forward their ideas.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about community engagement to support thedevelopment of community climate action plans, climate resilience plans, or local place planning for groups,organisations, and neighbourhoods in Edinburgh.
You will be a hands-on, adaptable and approachable coordinator who can diligently curate and distribute resources,ensuring their relevance and accessibility for ECCAN’s membership while also designing and administeringfeedback mechanisms to sustain member participation.
This will include planning and delivering in ECCAN’s in person and virtual events of different scales throughout theyear and building capacity of member organisations to deliver compelling climate and social justice activitiesof their own.

We workcollaboratively with partners, organisations and householders to drive transformation in energy efficiency andto tackle fuel poverty. An opportunity for a Senior Consultant has come up in our busy and growing consultancyteam.
This role is based within our Consultancy Team and will report to the Principal Consultant. The team work across thesustainability agenda for internal and external clients. They specialise in energy efficiency, heatdecarbonisation and renewables in the built environment, fuel poverty and pro-environmental behaviour change. AsSenior Consultant you will grow Changeworks involvement in the low carbon energy transition, making a tellingstrategic contribution and developing and delivering related service, project and business opportunities.
You will develop and deliver services that build on building data analysis and incorporate best practice in energyefficiency retrofit, low carbon heat and wider energy systems to decarbonise homes. Identifying and developingbusiness opportunities and securing work for Changeworks and the Consultancy team will be a key aspect of thisrole.
Using your project management skills you will manage the delivery of high quality services and projects. You willallocate work, lead, oversee, monitor and sign off on the work of the team. You will manage projects, ensuringthey achieve their aims and objectives and are delivered on time and to budget.
You will have at least 3 years’ experience delivering in a relevant professional and/or project management role.Experience of working in a relevant environment is also essential (e.g. academic, business, technology orcommunity).
