About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our team, providing on-site maintenance, servicing, and breakdown support for gas and diesel forklifts. You will work across multiple sites, ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities as a Forklift Driver:
1. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of gas and diesel forklifts.
2. LOLER inspections
3. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
4. Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repair solutions.
5. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
6. Advise clients on equipment maintenance and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
7. Proven experience as a forklift engineer or industrial vehicle technician.
8. Forklift truck certification (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
9. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Engineering Maintenance, or equivalent.
10. Strong knowledge of gas (LPG) and diesel engines.
11. Familiarity with hydraulics, transmissions, and electronic systems on forklifts.
12. Health & Safety awareness; CSCS, IOSH, or NEBOSH certifications are desirable.
13. Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to client sites.
