Rate of Pay: £13.90 - £18.48 per hour
Summary:
The Customer Services Information Guide role involves delivering high quality customer support while promoting a digital-first approach, encouraging residents to access information and services online wherever possible. The successful candidate will understand customer needs, provide guidance, and signpost customers to relevant internal and external support services.
Responsibilities:
* Respond to inbound customer enquiries via telephone and provide excellent customer service at all times.
* Support residents in accessing Council services and information effectively.
* Promote and encourage the use of online and digital self-service options.
* Identify customer needs and signpost to appropriate support services both within and outside the Council.
* Provide accurate information relating to Council services and procedures.
* Escalate complex enquiries and service requests to the relevant department where required.
Essentials:
* Previous experience working within a customer service or contact centre environment.
* Experience handling high volumes of customer enquiries.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
