Job Description HSE Governance, Risk and Assurance Lead Derby (Hybrid - min 3 days on site) Full Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Governance, Risk and Assurance Lead to join the HSE Compliance Team in Derby. Rolls-Royce Group HSE supports the Business in driving down risk to people & the environment through a regional and divisional support model. Acting as the conscience for the function, the role of the Compliance team is to help ensure the HSE Function delivers what we say we will, when we say we will, and that we do this effectively, efficiently and to a high standard. The HSE Compliance team oversees the delivery of effective, timely and professional support to the Divisions & Functions and drives functional compliance to HSE governance, risk, assurance, reporting and investigation requirements. To facilitate this, the HSE Compliance team maintains robust governance and assurance processes, leads on setting policy and strategic direction for HSE improvement, target setting, performance monitoring and reporting. What you will be doing: As HSE Governance, Risk and Assurance Lead, you will take the lead in the planning, facilitation and documentation of critical HSE Governance & Assurance meetings: Work with action owners to ensure actions from HSE Governance & Assurance meetings are adequately documented, closed within the required timeframes and escalated as required. Ensure the required cadence of HSE Governance & Assurance meetings is maintained. Coordinate the ongoing maintenance, review and update of the HSE Management System and associated Governance meetings. Coordinate the ongoing maintenance review and update of the HSE training catalogue on Leatro. Facilitate the twice-yearly update of the Group and Business HSE Risk Profiles and associated meetings. Support the Head of HSE Compliance in developing HSE risk and assurance updates for the Executive Team and the Safety, Energy Transition & Technology Committee. Lead on the planning, development and communication of the annual internal HSE audit plan. Act as key point of contact for ISO Certification audits and Rolls-Royce Internal Audits. Act as Subject Owner for HSE Governance, Risk & Assurance. Drive for and advise on improvement opportunities in HSE governance and assurance processes, programmes, IT platforms and resources. Monitor governance and assurance themes and trends and advise HSELT on opportunities and emerging risks. Ensure central Governance, Risk & Assurance documentation is maintained to an up-to-date and auditable standard. Basic and preferred qualifications: Chartered HSE Professional. Preferred requirements: HSE governance, risk, assurance and compliance experience. Experience of building and overseeing delivery of global assurance programmes. Working knowledge of HSE legislative frameworks. Experience of working within a global role, dealing with different jurisdictions and cultures would be advantageous.
