Excellent opportunity to join a major UK Bank as part of key modernisation programme. As Scrum Master you will support multiple agile delivery teams during a major technology and business transformation, you will act as a servant leader, coach, and delivery enabler, helping teams improve flow, predictability, and value delivery.
You will typically support up to three agile teams at a time, working closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and senior stakeholders in a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as Scrum Master for multiple agile teams using Scrum and Kanban
* Facilitate all agile ceremonies: sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives
* Coach teams to improve delivery, flow, velocity, and commitment
* Support Product Owners with vision, roadmaps, backlog management, MVPs, and release planning
* Remove impediments and manage risks, blockers, and dependencies
* Use agile metrics and reporting to drive improvement and governance
* Support teams across the full software development life cycle in DevOps environments
* Assess and improve agile maturity in both teams and the wider organisation
* Support scaling activities where required (eg PI Planning/Execution)
* Contribute to the Scrum Master Community of Practice
* Operate in line with the Bank's risk, compliance, and governance frameworks
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience leading agile software delivery teams
* Deep, hands‑on knowledge of Scrum and Kanban
* Experience supporting multiple teams simultaneously
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Calm, resilient, and delivery-focused under pressure
* Comfortable working in immature or evolving agile environments
* Strong understanding of agile metrics (burndown, flow, velocity, etc.)
* Experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps and Confluence
* Solid understanding of the SDLC and DevOps practices
* Able to work effectively with technical teams (varying depth of technical knowledge acceptable)
* Experience managing dependencies across teams and initiatives
* Exposure to SAFe or other scaling approaches
* Experience in regulated or financial services environments
* Knowledge of modern engineering practices (BDD, TDD, CI/CD, automation)
