Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast-growing manufacturer, supplying carbon/glass fibre composite parts and assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and aero engine producers. Operating across various product groups including commercial and business jet products, this role offers an opportunity to join a team working on highly technical products.
The manufacturing facility features advanced machining technology such as a multi-axis NDT robotic machine, automated material cutting machine, and multi-axis CNC machining centres. Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification to submission and review.
* Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to gather accurate data.
* Develop and maintain cost models for materials, tooling, labour, and processes.
* Ensure bids meet client requirements and internal standards.
* Support NPI initiatives to optimise costs without compromising quality.
* Maintain a library of bid data, pricing benchmarks, and lessons learned.
* Assess risks associated with bids and include contingencies.
* Prepare and present bid documentation, including summaries, pricing, and technical responses.
* Track bid progress and communicate with stakeholders to meet deadlines.
* Improve bid processes, tools, and templates for efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
* Proven experience in bid coordination, estimating, or commercial roles.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or ERP software is a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.
