Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee our restaurant's operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a passion for food service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing the front of house team while collaborating closely with the kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
* Supervise and manage the front of house team, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee adherence to food safety standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production.
* Train and mentor team members in hospitality best practices, serving techniques, and culinary knowledge.
* Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries to enhance the dining experience.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.
* Assist in menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team.
* Monitor inventory levels for front of house supplies and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
* Cocktail and coffee experience essential.
* Rota platting experience preferred.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* Previous experience in barista duties or hotel management is advantageous.
* A solid understanding of food production processes and kitchen operations is essential.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
