We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Product Development Specialist to join our customer’s Wheel and Tyre Core Team based in the Gaydon area. Key Responsibilities: Define and develop requirements and test procedures for wheels, tyres, valves, assemblies, puncture management systems (PMS), and tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). Conduct and contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Develop engineering tools to support wheel and tyre development. Perform data analysis and compile technical reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process efficiency, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and virtual/simulation-based development. Support cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, marketing, research, and regulatory teams. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the line manager in line with the role. Essential Skills & Experience: Self-starter with the ability to work independently under broad guidance. Strong technical writing skills with a proven ability to author engineering documentation. Basic project management skills with the ability to manage personal workload and meet deadlines. Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders. Desirable Skills: Experience in wheel and/or tyre development, including manufacturing, assembly, PMS, or TPMS. Familiarity with defining technical standards, test procedures, and quality management systems. Understanding of product development and delivery processes within the automotive sector. Education & Qualifications: Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience. Interested?
