About the Role:
As Agronomist, you will be responsible for monitoring crop health and performance through detailed crop walks and data analysis. You will play a key role in supporting our commitment to producing top-quality fruit by providing timely, accurate agronomic advice.
This is a hands-on, field-focused role where you’ll work closely with ourCrop Protection TeamsandIrrigation Managerto ensure your recommendations are implemented promptly and effectively. You will have the ability to drive agronomic performance throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough crop walks and detailed assessments of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries
* Write clear crop-walking reports and issue timely, practical recommendations
* Monitor pest, disease, and nutrient levels, and advise on appropriate interventions
* Collaborate with the crop protection and irrigation teams to ensure coordinated execution of agronomic plans
* Communicate effectively with the wider production team, contributing to the smooth running of growing operations
* Maintain accurate records and support compliance with assurance schemes and quality standards
* Planning and development.
* Keep up to date with the latest agronomic research and practices, and proactively attend training for continued professional development
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong agronomic knowledge, ideally in soft fruit crops
* Excellent attention to detail and observational skills
* Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Capable of writing concise and informative reports
* Confident IT skills, including data entry and reporting tools
* BASIS and/or FACTS qualifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
* Motivated, innovative, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
