We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join us as a Theatres Secretary responsible for all administrative tasks within the Theatres Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To manage the administration office and provide high level, efficient, accurate and prompt secretarial support to the Theatre Manager, Theatre Team Leaders and Theatre staff within Theatres Department in Ysbyty Gwynedd.
Support to include the planning and co-ordination of business schedules.
Required to manage workload effectively, following delegated duties from the Theatre Manager and Team Leaders.
Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, excellent judgement, diplomacy and tact are essential attributes for this post.
To communicate appropriately with organisations and individuals from outside the Health Board.
To Communicate with colleagues at all levels across the department and wider Health Board

Qualifications And/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
RSA III / NVQ 3 Business & Administration or equivalent experience
ECDL Qualification or equivalent
Diploma in Office Administration or experience to diploma level
GSCE passes in English and Maths or equivalent Numeracy and Literacy skills
Management Certificate or Office Management Experience
Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal development.
Willingness to undertake training and development as necessary
Desirable criteria
Audio Typing
Advanced ECDL
Supervision of Management Qualification
Typewriting / word processing qualification
NVQ or equivalent in Administration
Experience
Essential criteria
To include a full range of secretarial procedures
Experience of working in a complex organisation providing a high level and comprehensive administrative / PA service within a corporate team
Experience of setting up and using filing / IT systems in a large organisation
Familiar with office procedures and deadlines.
Extensive and Comprehensive knowledge of software packages such as Windows, Microsoft Outlook and Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
In-depth and detailed knowledge and understanding of corporate procedures, the structure, policies, plans, regulations, management and operational procedures of the Organisation
Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages.

Previous NHS experience and knowledge of organisation
