Head of Group Reporting

Forge Talent are partnering with a rapidly scaling, private equity-backed professional services group to appoint a Head of Group Reporting.
The business has built exceptional momentum, bringing together a number of high-quality regional firms into a unified platform with a clear strategy for sustainable growth. With significant investment behind it and an active acquisition pipeline, the group is entering a pivotal phase as it continues to expand its UK footprint.
With a strong focus on integration, governance, and scalable infrastructure, the business is now seeking a Head of Group Reporting to play a critical role in strengthening financial control, enhancing reporting standards, and supporting the next stage of growth.
This is a high-impact role, working closely with the FD, CFO and senior leadership team, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting while supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Own all UK group, statutory and investor reporting ensuring accurate, timely and compliant information for the board, lenders and PE stakeholders.
* Lead monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including consolidation, variance analysis, commentary and packs.
* Prepare and deliver consolidated financial statements, Annual Report & Accounts, interim reporting and UK statutory accounts
* Act as the technical accounting lead across complex and judgemental areas, including acquisition and purchase accounting, intercompany, director loan accounts and balance sheet integrity
* Own and manage the external audit and statutory accounts process end to end.
* Oversee and continually strengthen financial controls, accounting policies and reporting governance
* Drive reporting, process, systems and automation improvements to scale finance, including leading integration projects linked to new acquisitions.
Experience & Qualifications:
* ACA or ACCA Qualified with 3+ years post-qualified experience
* Training from a top audit firm (ideally Top 10 and above)
* Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience.
* Industry experience in a multi-entity or acquisitive environment.
