Programme Management Office Manager Intro We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Management Office (PMO) Manager to join our Benefits Business Solutions team on a permanent basis, based in the Darlington office (hybrid based). The role As the PMO Manager, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring members of the PMO team. You will provide support and guidance to the team whilst ensuring resources are allocated appropriately in line with the leadership teams’ strategic priorities. Within this role you will provide expertise, challenge and advise on governance, quality assurance and controls. You will support and enhance the effectiveness of project management processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining consistent project governance. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. The person We are looking for someone with proven experience of leading a successful team in a collaborative manner. An ability to provide effective support to the Project Managers with the creation and tracking of detailed and high-level project plans and budgets is fundamental for this role. You will have the ability to produce comprehensive reporting, presentations and MI for various board and senior leadership meetings. Evident knowledge and experience of using excel is key to succeed in this role. As the PMO Manager, you will have the ability to deliver clear communication to a variety of stakeholders. The ability to work using your own initiative is key for this role, as is having the courage to have a view on difficult decisions and provide constructive challenge where needed. Organisational skills and a proven ability to adapt and re-plan due to competing or changing priorities is key. The successful candidate will look to lead by example and introduce new ideas and ways of working to help develop best practice.
