Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Leicester, United Kingdom
Role: Purchase Ledger (Maternity Cover until September 2026)
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our fast‑paced organisation in south Leicestershire. You will report to the Purchase Ledger Manager and will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in our accounts payable function.
Responsibilities
* Query Resolution
* Statement Reconciliation
* Issuing Payments to Suppliers
* Matching electronically
* Processing expenses for internal staff
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel usage (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred)
* Other ad‑hoc duties as required
Candidate Profile
* Practical experience in Purchase Ledger or Accounts Administration
* Strong Excel skills; VLOOKUPs and pivot tables desirable (training can be provided)
* Excellent time‑management and organisational capabilities
* Meticulous, systematic, and persistent in completing tasks
* Confident communicator, comfortable interacting with suppliers and colleagues
Role Details
* Salary: £24,000 – £25,000 per annum
* Employment Type: Full‑time (37.5 hours, 8:30‑17:00 with 1‑hour lunch)
* Holiday: 22 days + statutory holidays
* Position: Maternity Cover until September 2026
